By accessing and using TaxValio (“the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Estimation Tool — Not Tax Advice
TaxValio provides tax-estimate and invoice-generation tools for informational and educational purposes only. All results generated by our calculators are estimates based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions documented in each country rule module. They do not constitute tax, legal, financial, or professional advice.
Tax rules change. Brackets, thresholds, and deadlines may not reflect your specific circumstances, jurisdiction, or latest amendments. You should always consult a qualified tax advisor (Steuerberater, CPA, chartered accountant, or equivalent) before making significant decisions or filings. TaxValio does not replace professional advice and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any tax filing or payment decision.
3. Limitation of Liability
The Site and all tools, content, and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, sydacos GmbH is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its tools — including but not limited to damages for lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or tax penalties.
Statutory exceptions under German law: Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for (a) intent (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), (b) injury to life, body, or health, (c) liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), or (d) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory provisions of German law.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on TaxValio — including text, graphics, logos, calculator designs, formulas, and underlying code — is the property of sydacos GmbH or its licensors and is protected by German and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may use our tools for personal and commercial tax calculations, but you may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Site’s content, code, or design without prior written permission from sydacos GmbH. Reference data explicitly marked CC-BY-4.0 (e.g. our published tax-rule datasets) may be used under the terms of that license.
5. Affiliate Disclosure
TaxValio participates in affiliate programs with accounting-software providers, tax-advisor directories, and related services. Some links on the Site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase or sign up. This comes at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly marked where they appear.
Affiliate relationships never influence our tax calculations, rule citations, or the substance of our recommendations. Formulas, results, and bracket data are determined independently of any commercial relationships.
